Significant growth in connector capability

12th March 2008

Addition of Fatwire and SDL Tridion connectors extend the capabilities of Vamosa's unqiue content processing engine.

With the addition of connectors for Fatwire and SDL Tridion, Vamosa now has mainstream connectors for ten core enterprise content management platforms, encompassing over twenty content management systems.

'Our connector technology is core to the functioning of all Vamosa solutions' says Ijonas Kisselbach, Vamosa CTO. 'A connector is, in effect, a software connection to a content or document based management system, through which the Vamosa toolset either imports content from, or exports content to' continues Ijonas.

The Vamosa connector pack includes the following connectors:

  • IBM (WCM, DB2 CM, FileNet)
  • Vignette (v5, v6 and v7)
  • Oracle Universal Content Management (Stellent)
  • Microsoft Sharepoint 2007, Sharepoint 2003
  • Interwoven TeamSite, WorkSite, MediaBin
  • Ektron
  • EMC (documentum Content Server, eRoom)
  • Day Communique
  • Fatwire
  • Tridion

Connectors can be built very easily using the core Vamosa functionality according to Nic Archer, SVP Solutions at Vamosa. 'Our connectors start off being worked out in the field, and being written for an explicit customer purpose, when they then build up a head of steam, we take them into our labs and polish them up and call them connectors' he concludes.

Vamosa connectors are used extensively by Fortune 500 companies and world governments to help them analyze, structure and deploy content using a total quality management focused methodology.
