IBM are focused on building e-business solutions to help customers reduce costs, increase customer service and retention, better retain corporate knowledge and re-engineer their business processes. IBM's Services business provides a connectivity that unites their assets and resources, including hardware, software and technology leadership making them easily available to the customer.

Recently Vamosa and IBM have developed their partnership further. IBM Australia are the authorized sales and marketing partner for the Vamosa toolset in Australasia. IBM and Vamosa have completed a number of significant projects in the public sector in Australia.

Vamosa have also developed a fully functional interface to IBM's Workplace Web Content Manager (WWCM) product. This allows customers to quickly and efficiently move to a WWCM managed environment and to fully leverage their investment in IBM WebSphere Portal infrastructure. Regardless of the location of exisiting content (unmanaged on a file server, another web CMS or located within a database), Vamosa has the capability of migrating huge volumes of data 80% faster and 80% cheaper than the alternative labor intensive solutions. And all of this occurs with virtually no business impact.

Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 launched with unprecedented success. The new functionality and capabilities introduced in this release position Microsoft firmly as a leading Enterprise Content Management contender with many of the world's largest corporations considering a SharePoint installation of some kind.

Partnering with Microsoft has allowed Vamosa to develop a dedicated analysis and migration application set designed to greatly reduce the cost, time and effort associated with implementing and embedding this product within the enterprise. The continued partnership allows both parties to leverage the benefits of an end-to-end solution to the Enterprise Content Management issues being faced by organizations today.

Rob Gray, Microsoft's Product Marketing Manager for SharePoint Technologies comments, "Using Vamosa's automated solutions for content analysis and content migration will allow organisations to very quickly realise the return on their investment, irrespective of whether their existing applications are based on Microsoft technologies".

Vamosa have released Vamosa Community Edition for SharePoint 2007 - a free content analysis and migration application especially built for Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007.

IBM

ibm

Vamosa has forged both an integration and a technology partnership with IBM. By providing support for IBM's Workplace Web Content Management (WWCM) product, Vamosa works closely with the IBM sales and consulting teams to enable the successful implementation of WWCM projects.

As a core part of IBM's portal strategy, WWCM reduces development and implementation time and places content creation and management firmly in the hands of content experts for 'author once, publish everywhere' control. The product runs on both Lotus Domino and IBM WebSphere and provides for the integration of IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM DB2 Content Manager - making this offering a great IBM middleware fit and an opportunity to leverage existing investments.

Vamosa has developed the interface to both the Lotus Domino and Java versions of WWCM with advice and direction from both IBM WWCM product specialists and also with Ascendant Technologies - one of IBM's foremost 'Lab Partners' in the area of IBM Enterprise Portal.

George Knox, CEO of Vamosa, comments: "by having both integration and technology partnerships with IBM we underscore the significance of our product on multiple levels. The co-operative nature of the development of the Vamosa WWCM interface shows that IBM understands the real value Vamosa can add to WWCM customers. The ability for Vamosa to re-purpose and load huge volumes of existing content into WWCM is compelling in the first instance, but when you factor in that the current location of content is irrelevant then the true strength of Vamosa Content Migrator is realised."

"Many customers are looking for a single vendor strategy in the area of collaboration and portals. IBM and Vamosa deliver that strategy through our ability to consolidate from any existing CMS implementation into WWCM, as well as catching all of the content still sitting out there in an unmanaged state. Vamosa is the real catalyst to making IBM Enterprise Portals work."
