Company
Vamosa's vision is to bring order and control to the chaos of digital content, transforming the digital haystack, wherever it resides, into findable knowledge using the framework of Enterprise Content Governance (ECoG). With over 200 customers, operations in EMEA and North America, there is no content challenge too complex for the experts at Vamosa.
We engage with clients in three ways:
- Consulting Practice - Our Consultants provide a bespoke content migration service offering a single point of accountability for migrating customers from their current ECMS (Enterprise Content Management System) to any target ECMS within a sustainable policy framework (ECoG). We have exceptional experience in migrating some of the largest companies in the world to SharePoint, Oracle, IBM and other major CMS platforms. We also offer content-related consulting, including modeling, tagging, merger & acquisition services and ECoG workshops.
- Configured Software - Vamosa offers two main platforms in the Configured Software space - The ECoG suite for Documents and the ECoG suite for Web. The Documents suite offers deep functionality to take control of your document content including analysis, cleansing and migration. The Documents suite also offers users the ability to perform scheduled maintenance reports to ensure the content stays under control. The Web suite offers similar functionality including on-going monitoring and maintenance to keep web content under control and in line with corporate policy. Both offerings will be available either as a site-installed or SaaS offering.
- Software Tools - Based on its experience in offering an enterprise web monitoring capability the company has announced WebWorxx, an 'out-of-the-box' solution for Web OperationsTeams to meet the daily web project management needs of the extended web team. In addition recognizing the popularity of SharePoint as a departmental or site-specific collaboration environment, Vamosa is offering the MetaVis suite of tools for simple migration to the recently launched SharePoint 2010 platform from MOSS 2003 or 2007.
Enterprise Content Governance Framework (ECoG)
The ECoG Framework is Vamosa's blueprint for applying governance principles to the lifecycle of content management to enable organizations to focus on those areas in which greater governance is required. The framework defines four phases for the lifecycle of unstructured content on which every enterprise must focus to implement effective governance: initiation, creation, control and consumption.
By executing a rigorous ECoG structure, over time, an organization can expect the following results to be achieved:
- Content transformed into findable knowledge; translating to reduced costs, increased efficiency and customer service and enhanced and extended collaboration.
- Lowered cost of e-discovery; insuring an organization is litigation-ready by achieving a high level of well-tagged, streamlined, quality content.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of web and document content, based upon governance principles, to increase interaction and reduce risk i.e. the exposure of personal information, incorrect product information or poor corporate representation.
- Seamless migrations; helping to cut timescales, human error, and of course, minimize costs.
