Company Background

Vamosa's Vision

Vamosa is a pioneer in the information management practice of Information Logistics.

Information Logistics encompasses a wide range of solutions for the movement and manipulation of data - but not just any data. Documents and images, web pages, links - the type of data termed 'unstructured content'. The type of data engulfing organizations and that exists in such large volumes as much as 80% of all corporate data is believed to exist in this format.

Managing this content is difficult at the best of times and, due to its very nature, is often downright impossible. Unstructured content is:

  • created by many different roles within an organization
  • tends not to be fully standardized
  • not fully tracked nor traceable
  • the primary information source of every single organization

Information Logistics exists at the point of convergence between content management and data management - the application of data management principles to content allowing for its optimal management.

By applying the principles of Information Logistics to content Vamosa enables organizations, large and small, to control the beast - to utilize the full capabilities of content and document management systems and enterprise portals and realise their maximum potential.

Vamosa's ECQ offerings allow the world's largest enterprises and governments to standardize, enhance, monitor and maintain all business content, whether internal or external. Vamosa's unique content solutions enable the auditing, migrating, cleansing, monitoring and maintaining of enterprise, web, intranet and document based content.

Vamosa's vision of ECQ ensures that organizations across the globe are getting the highest return on investment from their content assets. Vamosa achieves this by helping enterprises to attain findable, cost-controlled, valued, governed and re-usable content.

Findable content is achieved by ensuring that it is categorized, tagged and stored correctly. This in turn makes the content searchable and consequently findable. Content owners and users can then quickly and easily access the required page or document, without wasting time searching through all document repositories
Enterprise Content Quality Pillars

Cost Control of content is achieved by assessing the content, tagging it correctly and identifying any duplicates. By doing so storage costs can be controlled and the most suitable content platform can be selected.

Valued content is fit for its purpose and resonates with its audience. This ensures that the content is a valuable asset to the organization and is without redundant, unused or duplicate components.

Governed content complies with all legal, industry specific or corporate policies and publishing guidelines.

Re-usable content within the corporate information architecture, exists only once, is fully described and is shared amongst the content users. This helps to reduce the time and storage costs associated with the continuous creation of documents that already exist.

Vamosa's efforts are focused on providing comprehensive enterprise content quality solutions designed to provide relief for the myriad of frustrating and complex content issues that large enterprises face.
